Irene, which forms part of the greater Centurion area is mostly in the open country where agriculture is represented as well as the relaxed atmosphere of the surrounding golf courses and the plethora of country guest houses. You can expect to see chimneys smoking on a cold winters morning and evening as residents, both permanent and visiting gather where a fire can keep them warm.
