People are increasingly having fireplaces installed in their home to help them get though the winter. You know that the chimney is the right fit to operate effectively with much the same signs that let you know the chimney is clean:

• Lighting a fire is not difficult and the smoke immediately goes up the chimney and not out into the room


• If the fireplace has a door, the smoke continues to go up the chimney should you open the door and does not spill out


• The fireplace should not smell foul when not in use
